About The Cat

There are things that we know.

There are things we already know, things we don’t know we know, things we know we know, things we think we know and things that come to us new as each morning.

I am on a search. A search to be better. I am a normal person just trying to find out how I can live my life in a more active, more focussed way.

And so I am going to write it down. Write down what I learn, write down what sparks of insight another’s wisdom initiates in me. It may or may not useful or entertaining, but it is here for me to go back to, in those days when the going gets tough and the way is not as clear as it could be. I hope to inspire you as I am inspired, to test and re-test my thinking and to stop stumbling through life.

An introduction…

I am an actress, once married, now in a happy relationship. I’ve got a cat, a black cat who is just as curious as I am. I own my own home, not outright, and with that comes its own lessons. I am sometimes between acting jobs and have to make money by doing temporary work that I do not love but teaches me a great deal about the complexities of human interaction. I have a mountain of debt and a mountain of doubt and I am looking to clear both. I speak too much, eat too much and once upon a time drank my fair share of happiness away. I consume almost as many books as beers. In short, I am like all of you, normal and extraordinary and here my journey begins…

Here I will share all the things I learn and discover, through theatre, through my experiences with the business world and any life lessons I pick up along the way. I cannot find or think of a name for what I do here, but hopefully it will speak to the ‘renaissance man’ brain that we all have, learning from various disparate sources to help enrich our lives.
